Parks Revitalized Following our regular meeting some stalwarts
dedicated our Park revitalization project. Last year we trimmed all the trees,
planted 21 additional trees, added grills to both parks and additional picnic
tables. Fences were repaired and a new fence added in Power Street Park. In
the spring of 2005 we will add playground equipment to both parks. both parks
have new flower gardens. For more info click on Parks Project.
Dec 11
Bill Stowe, Peg Blazer, Jamie Rogers And Bob Hanna rang bells at ORDA
to catch the crowd for Kenny Roger's show. High light of the evening (not
including the singing) was Bill & Peg found a show ticket and sold
it for $ 20..proceeds went in the
red kettle. Dec 18 Thanks to DJ, Kelly, Ed, Bob, Bill, Carlos, Steve & Roberta for
ringing in the Christmas Spirit. Anyone know the dogs names??
Highway Pick up Our club maintains the 2 mile stretch of Rt 73,
from Mt Van Hovenberg Rd to just beyond The South Meadow Farm Lodge &
Maple Sugar Works. Several stalwarts pick up 5--6 bags of "trash"
three times a year. This activity is coordinated by the club service
committee, even though it really is a Community Service (this shows how
flexible our organization is). On 10/16 the stalwarts were: Peggy Blazer, John
Huttlinger, Al Dunham, Jamie Rogers and John Davies (pictures will be
taken next time, which will be in the spring)
Parks Recent educational event Paver Stone 101
and 102 was instrumental in installing paver stone pads around the grills in
our two "revitalized parks. see Projects for
more information..
Playground Equipment We relocated the above from
Peacock Park in September 2004. The train was added in June 2005. In total we added 21 trees to the two parks.

are grest as "salt potatoes" and the larger ones we donate to the
