35 Rotarians and guests were transported to a taverna in Serbia at the home of a club member through a spectacular dinner expertly prepared by Miona & Stuart Amoriell for our Fall social event. What a treat to enjoy these delicious and unique dishes as we raised funds for our International Service Committee for its future projects. We thank Miona and Stuart for the time, effort and culinary skills to prepare the feast. With Serbian taverna music in the background, we enjoyed each others comradery with Miona explaining each of the menu items and providing some historical detail as well. A Serbian trivia quiz was ready to go but we'll do that another time. By the way, who's a famous Serb? None other than Nikola Tesla. One way to learn about the culture of a nation is via its food and we certainly did that as part of Rotary's mission to embrace global understanding, goodwill, and peace.
