Our incoming President, Bill Flederbach, is CEO of ClimeCo Corporation https://climeco.com .  ClimeCo's mission statement, from their website: "To create environmental asset revenue streams through customized strategies to develop and support the continued growth of clean air technologies."  But they also are recognizing that December is Universal Human Rights Month.   On ClimeCo's Facebook page there is a posting talking about this and provides some resources for further study.  Click the button below to see their posting (which is now also on our Facebook page).

Human Rights Month is a time to unite and stand up for the rights and dignity of all individuals. As we already know, the principles of equality and non-discrimination are at the heart of human rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political, nationality, social origin, property, birth, or other statuses. The UDHR is available in 500 languages and is the most translated document in the world.

How can you observe Universal Human Rights Month? Start by reading the Bill of Rights and researching what these freedoms mean to you - ultimately understanding the individual liberties in which we must fight to protect - for ourselves and each other. The principles in the Declaration of Independence are still relevant and should empower each of us. You can also take part by giving back to your community – volunteering or helping those who may be struggling.
