Under the guidance and direction of Ray Agnew, Bill Rusak, Bob Hanna, Ernie Stretton, Sean Donovan, and many others, the 2014 RYLA weekend was recently held at beautiful Paul Smith's College.  The weather was great, the food and accommodations were "top shelf", the views were spectacular, and the experience will be long remembered and valued by everyone who participated.Image

43 high school students from within the 7040 Rotary District came from all parts of the North Country and in Canada to participate in this youth leadership experience (RYLA, 2014).  Team building activities, open and honest discussion, and in depth presentations dealing with various aspects of leadership and character building were offered.   The participants eagerly participated and offered many thoughtful comments and observations.  New friendships were made and fun was had by everyone.  Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Lake Placid for hosting this special event --- as well as the Rotary Clubs of Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake for supporting the event.  Special thanks must go to Paul Smith's College and The Wild Center in Tupper Lake for providing the locations for this special weekend.   We will remember this event for years to come!
